Busy Parents: This One's for You
If you're a parent you've been there: Jane has soccer at 10 a.m., Joe boy scouts at 10:15 a.m. and Jamie needs to be at the gym by 10:30 a.m. for cheerleading. And that's just Saturday morning. Unfortunately, everyday is a little bit like Saturday. The car, your time, and your paycheck are being chewed up by kids who need to be carted here and there.
Stop! Take a breath. A solution awaits a mouse click away. Divide The Ride is a relatively new service designed for business parents with kids on the go and a planet suffering from pollutants.
"Divide The Ride provides parents with a viable tool that enables them to quickly and easily create carpool schedules in a safe and secure manner," says Bryn Tindall, founder of Divide The Ride. "Divide The Ride is a wonderful resource for parents who are looking for a simple and uncomplicated way to organize their life while gaining some valuable, much needed time back for themselves."
Divide The Ride utilizes web-based technology and is fast, easy and free of charge to use. Most importantly, Divide The Ride is safe and secure. Getting started is simple. Parents choose families they know to join their carpool. Once carpool members are onboard, all participants enter their driving availability and Divide The Ride creates a carpool schedule for them. The carpool schedule is e-mailed to everyone in the group along with text messages and e-mail reminders. Divide The Ride eliminates the time, effort and confusion that can go along with traditional carpool scheduling. And it gives busy parent a piece of their life back.
Furthermore, it is good for the planet, as the fewer cars whizzing down the highway, the fewer pollutants spewing into the air. It's good for you, good for your kids and good for the planet. Check the video below and the links below it for more info.

In memory of my Uncle Clem, my Dad's little brother, who passed away yesterday, Monday, at 3:30 p.m. After my Dad passed 23 years ago, my Uncle took on the role of my surrogate father. My Aunt June, his children, grandchildren, sisters, nephews and nieces will miss him dearly.
