What are You Reading?
This past Saturday, Mack meme tagged me. My mission, should I accept it, is to share what I'm reading now and what I'll be reading next. I also must share the 6th through 8th sentences on page 123.
Currently Reading: Word of Mouth Marketing by Andy Sernovitz.
Excerpt: "Put something amusing at the end of every message, just to get it forwarded. The last story of my newsletter is always funny, often weird, and rarely related to the rest of the message. People love to pass along odd stuff..."
Reading Next: The Speed of Trust by Stephen M.R. Covey.
To keep the reading alive, I'll tag Karen, Connie, Steve and David.

Hi Lewis
Thanks for the tag. I'm currently reading a great book by Tsufit called "Step Into The Spotlight - A Guide To Getting Noticed." The book tells you how to use elements of showbusiness to get ahead in business.
Excerpts are: "You don't have to fit in. The world will make a place for you", "All business is show business" and "Which would you rather be? Batman or Robin? You know Robin's never going to get his own show."
Reading next: Nothing particular in mind. I'll know when I find it.

Karen,
I just finished and reviewed “Step Into the Spotlight.” Liked it a lot.

While the Covey tome is new to me, I finished off the Word of Mouth Marketing one about 3 months ago - great book! Right now, I'm in the middle of "Groundswell" by Li and Bernoff! It's a terrific study done on more'n hundreds of companies by these two from Forrester Research. A real eye-opener in my view and it's just too dang hard to put down!

Jim,
Groundswell is getting lots of buzz. Haven’t picked up a copy yet but plan to do so.

Groundswell and Naked Conversations. The latter just because it's a must read, and the former well...because it's a must read...:)
