Well, that's easy for Gene Simmons to say, although today I feel a little special. Geoff Livingston, The Buzz Bin and Livingston Communications, interviewed me last week. Geoff posted the interview today. If you are interested in hearing my musings on conversation, go here.
This in from Ragan Communications, although they clearly didn't read the original post, which I made clear in several places was not about the W List:
To the surprise of some (maybe many), the blogosphere proved itself a less depraved place last week—thanks to a bouquet of flowers
That bouquet of flowers came from Geoff Livingston, founder of Livingston Communications and author of The Buzz Bin blog. He sent the flowers to Lewis Green, a business strategist and blogger at bizsolutionsplus. The pair had duked it out in the blogosphere earlier this month over the Top 20 PR Power Women, a working list of top-notch female PR bloggers.
Green took a confrontational view of the list, insisting it was discriminatory to create a list that excludes men (or anyone). Livingston disagreed, vehemently. When the dust cleared, Green had banned Livingston from commenting on his blog.
Then Livingston sent Green a bouquet of flowers, and later this note:
I am glad you enjoyed [the flowers]. Flowers really demonstrate all of the beauty and grace we can enjoy in life. And thank you for your service to this country as a member of the military and as a champion of civil rights. I am sorry if I disrespected the significant effort and time you’ve given to all of us.
-Geoff
“His gesture is one that I will treasure the rest of my life,” Green wrote on his blog. The number of disagreements in the blogosphere each day is endless, and they often end bitterly. This is the first time we’ve ever seen it reach such an affable conclusion.
Give Drew a visit and grab the Blogger's Toolbox. Lots of great ideas and recommendations to
improve our blogging and sharing skills. I am honored to be one of the contributors.
