They Have Heart

About a month ago, CK suggested that I create an award called the All Heart Award.  Today, I am launching the award to be given to those bloggers who demonstrate such attributes as kindness, caring, and giving and use their blogs to promote goodness.

I am happy to tell you that there is no better time than now to present the award to two people who take every opportunity to reach out to others, to give back to the community and to make our planet a better place to live and work.

Next Monday, July 16, a book called The Conversation Age, which was written by 100 authors, will be made available to the public. (See the link to the page at the top right for more information.) The project was spearheaded by Drew McLellan: The Marketing Minute, and Gavin Heaton: Servant of Chaos. They have volunteered tons of hours to make this happen. Not only will the contents help all of us be better at what we do, all of the proceeds from sales will be donated to Variety the Children's Charity, which serves children across the entire globe.

This is just the most recent example of Drew's and Gavin's demonstration of having big hearts. Together and separately they have on a number of occasions reached out to us with wisdom and kindness. Thank you both for who you are and for what you bring to our community. You represent the best among us.
