Tagged, I'm It and So Are You
Building relationships with our blogs leads to games. It is natural for us to want to play a game, and since tag has only a few simple rules, it is perfect for our virtual world. My British friend Anna Farmery, The Engaging Brand Blog, tagged me today with a new game called 8 Random Things About Me. In Anna's own voice:
"Another meme! But I love the idea of getting to know people a little better so here I am joining in. I got tagged by the wonderful yet Evil HR Lady who I spoke to earlier this year on my other podcast Middle Age Shed."
What's interesting about this meme for me is that as the editor of the International Management Consultants New England newsletter, I introduced 10 Things You Didn't Know About [Name here], which has been a great hit with our readers and a wonderful way to learn about other members. So here are 8 Random Things About Me, followed by my tags.
- I love animals, all kinds, but especially my cats.
- My second marriage has lasted 33 years, and I am still in love.
- My first name is Maynard, but I go by Lewis (or Lew), which is my middle name. I was named after my Uncle Maynard, who goes by his middle name, Clem.
- A favorite pastime is discovering new pubs and taverns, where everyone knows our names.
- Although I am prolific, writing is always difficult.
- Pride is not laudable, but I confess my pride in being 50% Sicilian and 50% English.
- The loneliest day of my life was spent in a 13th floor dorm room on Christmas Day.
- I love to eat, drink, talk, and have fun.
The rules call upon me to tag eight people, which always is the hardest part for me. It brings me back to the schoolyard playground, where being picked last or not at all hurt.
